The valuable aspects
This is the 10th series of illustrations created for the ‘Veggo’ brand products.
There are a few aspects which attracts me each time when I am illustrating these illustrations:
1.
The combination of an ink line on a paper and a digital colouring always was and still is one of my favourite graphic media;
2.
The composition of elements should be well recognizable in small size, even though, I always create them in a bigger size what allow me to achieve the more specific and detailed drawing;
3.
A food illustration requires to be not only attractive by itself, but also be ‘visually tasty’ and conveying a food material, its smell and even more – allowing to feel the flavor;
4.
Before the beginning of each illustration, firstly, I do the detailed research of the objects which I’m going to draw. In this way I have an opportunity to become even more attentive by paying my attention to daily materials and find out new things about the plants, the fruits, the tools and other things as well.

The task
This time the task was to illustrate two different products — the oats barista and two flavors of a tofu dessert. Each of these illustrations had the smaller specific tasks and some of them became creative challenges for me, indeed.
Now I would like to share with you a few details of the illustrative process and my insights about the final result.
