That is a symbol of 2 parts book for children 'Tales of the Sun. YELLOW'.
An author of the book is Liuda Petkevičiūtė, the well-known writer in Lithuania.
It was an honor for me to be an illustrator and a graphic designer of this book.
And since the summer of 2019 this yellow flower travels with us in every fair and presentation of the book.

This project was created for the national children book competition. A target group of readers were 0-3 year-old children.
I have created a short story about a bee and what the benefit of the honey.

I had really a good time making all these details and combining them into compositions, characters, words.

THE 1st CHRISTMAS FAIR

This year I had a wonderful opportunity to coordinate the 1st Christmas Fair in my village.
The aim of this event was to support a journey by the Baltic Sea for children who did not see it yet in their life.
So, this unconventional fair and its aim became an attractive new for people. Also, a great way to present themselves as creators.
I am thankful for all the participants and everyone who came.

We all together created a great miracle! We did it! Children will be traveling by the sea on the next summer of 2020!
As a designer and illustrator, I had a good practice and and one more chance to make sure myself, how much paper can be so adaptable making all objects of the event: stop-motion animations of information and invitation, posters, event decorations, thanks for the participants, etc.

This project was dedicated for the international character design competition. White Dragon character was inspired by the famous story 'Spirited away'.
A coordinator of the competition is CDC — Character Design Challenge. That is an online international community for artists and especially for illustrators-character designers. More than 200 000 members from all around the world.

I belong to this group since April of 2019.
The character was created using only a white paper and playing with the light and shadows.
I am impressed how the paper can fold without any help only cutting it to various width of strips and using different speed of cut.

I have started to make this object in 2016.
The aim was to use paper scraps and to transform them into paper sculpture which symbolized our minds and how they all are tied with each other.

900 meters and 90 centimeters.
900,9 meters in all.
This number was chosen to show a free flow of thoughts, without any aim to be perfect.
Also, to reveal, that the process of thinking is the most important and leading us to a wisdom.
