MATHS of MONSTERS
When we start talking about maths, perhaps, most of us imagine it as a very complex science. And that makes sense, indeed. However, a little child who just begins to learn the digits and find out the meaning of plus and minus, he or she, yet, doesn't think so. We should allow children to make their own impression about this science. What's more, to find a way to present the maths in an attractive and reasonable way. My good friend Tomas Blažauskas, the professor at Kaunas University of Technology, The Faculty of Informatics, invited me to join his amazing idea – to make maths as one of the most moody activities for children. Tomas' little son loves monsters very much. So, noting that, he asked me to illustrate characters-monsters who would accompany his son and other children in every step they would make during the learning process. Isn't that cool?! I am grateful to Tomas for this wonderful artistic adventure!
