THE FOREST IS A MAGICAL PLACE FOR THE BIRTH OF TALES AND HEROES.
ONCE THERE WAS A TIME OF A GREAT FOREST KINGDOM WHERE MYSTERIOUS CREATURES LIVED IN PEACE. NOBODY HAVE SEEN THEM UNTIL ONE DAY...

They looked as trees, had a skin of bark. Some of them could fly with wings which similar to leaves. Others — could even swim or just be a home for wild animals and stand in a same place for a long long time without any movement.
Many of these creatures had a well recognizable body part — horns, which sometimes could be seen even above trees (how huge living beings were). But in the deepness of the forest, where the sun was shinning almost for a whole day and small areas of meadows were drowned in the light, there was a perfect place for the smallest species of these mystical creatures. They were a close part of nature. Nature was their Home and Mother.

AFTER A DAY THEY WERE SEEN BY SOMEBODY WHO COULD TALK,
THEY WERE NAMED WOODEN DRAGONS.

NIGHT FOREST

This creature lives in a depth of the forest.
Its analogy to trees is so close that it is difficult to notice it and to find in a bright day.
Also, it has a dark wooden skin and for all these reasons it was called NIGHT FOREST.
A few details of the process.
Each illustration was created using graphite and later finishing it with digital tools.
I love this combination of graphic techniques. The most important part for me is hand drawing-a close relationship of human-artist and a drawing. I believe that only then the energy flows from the artwork and reaches every perceiver.

ASHBERRY CROWN

This creature is one of the most unique dragons of all.
It can fly and swim and is a bit similar to a frog.
When the autumn comes red berries grow on its horns and it looks like with a crown.
Why because its name is ASHBERRY CROWN.
A few details of the process.

SKY WINGS

The main features of this dragon are:
four pairs of blue wings-leaves, long horns, wooden body, a short tail.
It is able to coil into almost a circle.
Why because this creature is one of the most active dragons of its flying species and got a name — SKY WINGS.
A few details of the process.

RED CONE

It is a one of the smallest wooden dragons.
The inspiration of this character was a cone.
Because of its little size it can fly very high, above trees and even mountains.
And when you look at the sky standing even on the highest top of the mountain, you see only a tiny red dot.
An you'll know that is RED CONE.
A few details of the process.

WOODEN MOUNTAIN

This wooden dragon is the biggest creature and reminds a forest itself.
Time after time it became a home for wild animals.
It has huge horns and a spin of trees. The whole its body is covered with rough bark.
WOODEN MOUNTAIN stands in the same place for a long time and
lives by the lake in a depth of the giant forest.
A few details of the process.

BLUE MOSS

An inspiration of this tiny dragon was a wood, moss and a mushroom.
The main characteristic detail is a log red nose and a tail with small blue buds of moss.
It lives only in trees, on their branches, and is recognizable by its white cap.
A few details of the process.

HIGH FLIGHT

This dragon lives in tops of trees and is rarely found because of its dark wooden skin.
That feature protects it and lets feel more free on days and nights.
HIGH FLIGHT is the most mysterious wooden creature. It loves loneliness and daytime of an early morning.
It never comes down to the ground, is always flying even when it sleeps. Why because this dragon is the most watchful and also is called a FOREST GUARDIAN.
A few details of the process.

BLUE WOOD

This it is really unusual creature, which lives only in fields of blueberries and
is one of the smallest dragons once lived in the woods.
It has a log blue nose, to horns-leaves and two wings of many branches with small leaves.
This dragon can coil almost to the ball and has a good balance when it sits.
That is because BLUE WOOD is one of the most symmetrical living being of the forest and is an adornment of the forests.
A few details of the process.

LIGHT LEAVES

These small dragons are so tiny and the most little creatures of all wooden living beings.
Creatures of this species live in flowers which spread a light and are active only at night.
Then when silence is reigning everywhere these dragons begins their night journey.
They are very curious and have good relationship with other dragons.
Why because they are called LIGHT LEAVES, not only because of light flowers-their home,
but also for their feature to collect what is new happened in each part of the forest and sharing that with others.
A few details of the process.
